My First Film Debut

In 1998, my casting agent, Cathy Toner, cast me in a film called "Maua" which was about an 18th Century Industrialist who came to Britain to establish mills.

I was cast as a Mill Urchin, a child slave working in a mill.

The footage for this film, which I was filmed in was shot on location at Quarry Bank Mill, in Wilmslow, Nr Manchester, U.K.

The role I was cast in,  involved my spending a full day at the Quarry Bank Mill, carrying sacks and sackcloth boxes across a bridge high up between two mill houses.

My Mum came with me as my chaperone and we were treated to a nice dinner and drinks in the Mill Restaurant.

I earned £ 30.00 for my days work and it was exciting going to my agents office in the City of Liverpool, England. U.K. to collect my wages. I cashed my first pay Cheque at the bank and then Mum drove me to Toys 'R Us' so that I could spend my wages on some new toys.

Before this role I had appeared in many school plays and sung in the school chior, so I was elated when I was cast in this film. I would like to be a Singer or an Actress when I am older.
